Reading and Language Programs K - 12
For the first time, Metra Reading International is offering the same programs for home schooling that are used in schools. Up to now, the student packages have been too large for individuals to afford. Now, two school programs have been made affordable for home schooling. These manuals are complete and require no other supplemental material.
The Remedial Reading Tutor - Reading K - Grade 6
The Remedial Reading Tutor is a one-on-one tutoring program that teaches children how to read or how to improve their reading. Students progress sequentially through the sounds of the letters, to the blending of sounds into words. Sight words are taught, as well as all the reading rules such as the silent "e" and double vowel rules. Vocabulary and comprehension exercises are integrated into the program. Fluency in reading, increased vocabulary, and understanding are achieved.
Accel, Accelerated Language Literacy Language Arts Grades 7 - 12
Sequentially organized, it flows smoothly and logically. A manual/workbook for every teacher and student eliminates the necessity of photocopying. Accel, is a remedial resource which targets a specific need. It requires no extra teacher preparation of exercises or worksheets, as all are provided. It can be used as a Home-Study course for Junior/Middle or High School students.
